Second Response Vehicle

Additional Emergency Response Vehicle

We now have a second emergency response vehicle! Having been in operation since the 15th July 2025, we identified the vital need for an additional vehicle. This allows us to respond concurrently to critically ill patients throughout Burton and the surrounding villages.

The vehicle is in memory of Student Paramedic Tammy Minshall, in recognition of her aspirations to become a paramedic with West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Skills transfer – Burton Taxi Drivers

Life saving skills for taxi and private hire drivers

We will be providing life saving skills to a group of taxi and private hire drivers from Burton on Trent. This is a very exciting opportunity for our scheme. Taxi and private hire drivers can often be the first to come across an incident. Understanding how to engage with the ambulance service, deliver life saving CPR and use an AED can lead to the saving of lives. The drivers also take these skills into their own communities, we very much welcome engagement with their families and friends.

We provide these sessions free of charge and welcome engagement from anyone who wants to receive this valuable input. Please reach out on 07557473322 or email us on simon@burtoncfr.uk

First skills transfer session

Skills transfer session

As a scheme we had the pleasure of providing life saving skills to a group of really keen staff from the Hourglass. They work in both Tutbury and Hilton.

Knowing what to do in an emergency can save lives. Understanding when to call an ambulance and what to expect on the call, followed by CPR and AED skills all forms part of our knowledge transfer.

A big thank you to Mia who is a student paramedic who assisted with the delivery of the session!!

Consolidated Charity of Burton on Trent

Thank You

As a small charity, it is difficult to secure the necessary funding to set up and operate. We are incredibly grateful to the Burton Consolidated Charity for providing us with an amazing grant.

This funding has enabled us to purchase essential emergency medical equipment for our responders, ensuring we deliver the highest standard of care to patients. It has also covered the first year’s operating costs for our emergency response vehicle.

Without this kind donation, we would have struggled to become operational as quickly, limiting our ability to save lives throughout Burton and the surrounding villages.

Our Response Vehicle!

We have secured our emergency response vehicle. This is our most valuable asset and key to delivering the emergency response to incidents throughout the town and local villages.
